Blank Canvas, a documentary short, shows honest portraits of women artists in recovery from substance abuse. The women in Blank Canvas have embraced the very element that may have lead them into addiction? Creative sensitivity - as a lifeline to pull themselves through. Through the eyes of the filmmaker, who tells of her own battle with alcohol abuse, we discover an inspirational community of artistic support that grows around six women, each on her own transformational journey... a journey that not everyone survives.
